Pretty pretty NOTD: Essie Ladylike and Revlon Popular

Revlon Popular over Essie Ladylike
Today's Nail of the Day is so pretty!!  I was at Rite-Aid looking for nail polish remover and the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream shadows in Too Cool and Tough as Taupe to accompany the other two I already have (look for a post very soon!) and I saw this nail polish and just had to have it!

I put a base coat, then Essie's Ladylike - one coat - with a coat of Revlon's Popular on top.  It's a cool lilac-y pink type color with silver micro and regular sized glitter.  The color is actually relatively opaque and could stand on its own in probably 2 coats.  I like having Ladylike underneath for a little bit of depth (and it makes it easier to remove). If you want the same look with just Ladylike, just put a clear coat with silver glitter over it - something like Sally Hansen's Glass Slipper.

After wearing it for 4 days, I can confirm that staying power is very good with this polish.  I have had no chips, no scratches, no troubles at all.  I good quality top coat helps, but I've definitely had trouble with lighter color polishes in the past.  This one lasts really well!

Revlon's Popular (230) is a new color and retails for around 5 dollars currently at drugstores.

What do you think?
